Here we go again. The man is a bona fide threat to our health. So far, here’s what he has done:

· Purge the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee, replacing respected experts with anti-vaccine activists and discredited figures

· Lied under oath during his confirmation hearings, falsely claiming he would not interfere with the CDC’s vaccine advisory panel or with public access to immunizations. He broke that promise

· Interfered with vaccine recommendations, putting millions of children, pregnant women, and immunocompromised Americans at risk

· Attacked basic public health protections, from food safety regulations to disease surveillance programs

· Silenced scientists, or is trying to . . .

· Invited lobbyists and ideologues to shape health policy based on politics, not scientists

· Defunded 500 million in mRNA vaccine research . . . a major public health setback.

The latter frightens me the most because he put us all at risk for

· future pandemics and

· blew off the latest in cancer research by

casting doubt on the safety, efficacy, and role of mRNA research in protecting public health.

He has also stopped research on a vaccine for bird flu. This may be the most frightening.

Chicken farms are breeding grounds for influenza. Chicken population density increases pathogen transmission and viral evolution. Mild viruses may become more deadly.

These strains are capable of leaping into mammals.

Secretary Kennedy vilifies healthcare providers, claiming that "doctors, hospitals, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical giants profit by keeping Americans sick."

They want to keep Americans sick??!! Mr. Secretary?

Oh, Mr. Secretary, here is a lesson for you. I suspect you will not believe it, or you do not have the capacity.

Can you answer this question? Which vaccines contain mercury?

NONE OF THEM!

Mercury is an elemental metal that is liquid at room temperature.

When chemical compounds form, their properties change dramatically.

Thimerosal is a salt with the formula C9H9HgNaO2S. It is NOT mercury. It is used as a preservative. It inhibits microbial contamination.

Thimerosal contains an ion of mercury called ethylmercury, formula C₂H₅Hg⁺. Ethylmercury is ALSO not mercury per se.

It’s also different from Methylmercury — the mercury ionic compound in our environment that DOES bioaccumulate and can lead to toxicity at certain doses.

Thimerosal is safe and is rapidly excreted from the body. But misinformation and public outcry prevailed. OK, fine, it worked.

The tiny levels of thimerosal in vaccines to prevent contamination were removed in the US in 2001, except for the small minority of multi-dose flu vaccines.

NO MERCURY ever was or is in vaccines. You have no understanding of this, Mr. Secretary, and I doubt you can or want to understand. How very sad and frightening you are.

Vaccines are safe, effective. Their ingredients have been extensively tested.

The Kaiser Family Foundation recently issued a report showing vaccination rates declining among kindergarteners. The resulting confusion may leave parents wondering: How much should we worry about this?

Can you help them, Mr. Secretary? You and your cohorts helped to confuse them!

Secretary Kennedy, you continue to spiral down deep, dark paths leading to the hell of bad health.

As Dante said in his Inferno, “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.”

Secretary Kennedy, I’m afraid your given wealth and status, not earned, of course, let the dregs of distorted thinking and greed seem right as you made your way to the bottom. You disregarded research, science, common sense and care for your fellow man. That must have left you with considerable pain.

Secretary Kennedy, stop stripping us of hope. Look at what your uncle said:
